Go Live With Dani
Dani from our Melbourne Showroom took to Instagram Live to answer all the questions you're thinking, but never ask! Answering questions on trends, colour and texture, sharing all her tips and tricks of the trade with over 20 years experience in interior styling.
If you missed it, not to worry... Here's a small snippet of the questions Dani was asked by stylists within the community, as well as those who just want some tips on how to refresh their own home!
Question:
How can I incorporate colour cushions to my white bedding and a black bedhead?
Dani's Answer:
"We've actually got a great example here to show to help me out with this. What I've done here is I have used gold accessories or gold cushions on the bed and that's done to work back in with the lamps and bedside tables, and as well as the pendant. Then we've added a little bit of black using a black bed runner and a black bed end. The contrast colour I chose was gold, but if you had other accents in the room, like a green or a beautiful peach, then I'd be picking those colours."
Question:
What are the trends of 2024?
Dani's Answer:
"What is in, will just remind us of our grandmother for those of us born in the 60s and 70s, and that is maximalism is in, and that means a lot of pattern, lots of texture, and I think just a lot of mayhem. It's very eclectic, so it's a really good opportunity for you to use all those little objects and important ornaments and stuff, and you can layer those pieces up."
Question:
Where do we source our furniture from?
Dani's Answer:
"That's a really good question! So our buyers are lucky enough to travel the world to all the big furniture shows and they obviously gain inspiration from what's coming out of Europe. And we find that interior design often follows fashion trends as well. Rita is one of our buyers, so her and the buying team will head overseas quite a few times a year, visiting the factories that make our pieces. So it's inspired by what's going on out there in the world, mostly of what is coming out of Europe, and they come up with the designs themselves!"
